A new portrait of Maggie Beer, 'All The Ingredients' is shown in Gallery 1. Maggie graciously agreed to sit for me over a number of appointments. Her comment 'always active, usually standing, often nibbling' was basic to the development of the painting.

'SOME WINS!' Winner 'President's Award of Excellence' Royal South Australian Society of Arts summer exhibition 'Too Hot To Handle', for the painting 'Cooling Off', plus the same painting gained an Award of Merit (which contributes towards RSASA Fellowship) and I was the fortunate recipient of the Viewer's Choice Award from the Adelaide Art Society Spring Exhibition for the painting 'Talking About Leaving', and the prize for 'Social Comment or Observation of Human Nature", generously donated by Marc Makrid and Associates Pty Ltd at the 2011 Cathedral Art Show, for the painting 'Hoppy Reflects'. Also, as part of my first involvement with the Royal South Australian Society of the Arts, during October, I took part in a portrait demonstration. The portraits selected by each sitter were announced on 30th October at the RSASA. My portrait of Anne Levy was selected by the sitter as the one she would like to keep.
